What verification does not replace

Verification establishes that a supplier is a real business with a credible supply capability. It does not certify that any single shipment will match specification, and it is not a guarantee of performance on a given order. That is why the operational safeguards matter independently: confirm the specification in writing, start with a sample on a new relationship, arrange pre-shipment inspection for higher-value orders, and pay only through the stated channels to an account matching the company name.

How buyers should use it

Treat verification as the gate that decides whether a supplier is worth a first conversation, then let the transaction itself build the evidence. A verified supplier with a clear quotation, a consistent specification and a prompt response is a much better bet than an unverified one with a low price; a verified supplier who is slow to answer a technical question often turns out to be a trader rather than a producer, which matters for repeat orders even when the first shipment is fine.

For suppliers

Verification is in your commercial interest. Buyers on a B2B platform are making a judgement about risk before they make a judgement about price, and a verified profile measurably improves response rates. The information requested during review — registration details, business scope, evidence of production or authorisation, product documentation — is the same information a serious buyer is going to ask for anyway. Providing it up front shortens your sales cycle.
